How do I reserve a class?

In order to make a reservation, you must first have a class pass or class package in your account. In order to get a class pass or package, you simply click the button that says "click here to schedule your class" & sign up for a mind body account.  If you already have a mind body account with another studio, you will still need to log in as a new visitor.  Once you're logged in, go to the schedule and select the class you would like to take! Please note that you can either purchase individual class passes (drop in rates) as you go , or choose to select a class package.  We even offer a monthly unlimited package which allows you to come to up to two classes a day, every day of the week!! 

I haven't worked out in a while, is there a certain class I should start with?

One of the best things about TORQUE is that we encourage people of all fitness levels to try every class we offer.  Whether you are working out for the very first time or are a seasoned athlete, you will be welcomed, challenged, and will most definitely grow with us.  We do however offer a Spin 101 class on the 1st Tuesday night of every month at 8 pm which is an introduction to all things TORQUE Spin related!  We will go over how to set up your bike, the basic moves, hand positions, body positioning, and most importantly - how to find your groove on the bike so you can get the most out of the 45 minutes you spend in that dark room!!!

What makes TORQUE's spin class different than your typical spin class?

Torque spin is an exhilarating, high energy, full body indoor cycling workout. By incorporating upper body movements while riding to the beat of the music, you will feel like you are having a dance party on a bike!  You will be encouraged to have fun, let go of whatever stress you are holding on to, and focus on becoming the best possible you.  While you will most definitely be challenged physically, you will find that this class will help you walk out feeling mentally lighter as well.  Part exercise, part therapy, this is a class that improves you as a whole.  

What makes TORQUE's barre & TRX classes different than your typical gym class?

Many exercise classes can be routine and mundane.   However, at TORQUE, the upbeat music will make you dance and the empowering atmosphere will make you want to push yourself to places you never imagined you could go.  We believe that working out should be FUN and something that you look forward to - the best part of your day! 

Can I workout at Torque if I am pregnant?

Always make sure to check with your doctor before starting any exercise routine while you are pregnant.  However, we have many  pregnant women workout at TORQUE until their precious lil one is born!

Do spin shoes really make a difference and if so, what type should I get?

YES!  Spin shoes provide a more secure and safe ride and allow you to use different muscles than if you were wearing sneakers.  While wearing spin shoes, you can focus more on your form, your ride, and on letting go of your worries; instead of focusing on trying to keep your sneakers secure in the straps.  You will need SPD cleats for our bike pedals.  Look for MTB shoes as opposed to Road Cycling shoes.  

Do you have spin shoe rentals?

Yes!!  We have spin shoes available for rent at the studio for $2.  However, please bring sneakers with you in case we run out of your shoe size!

How far in advance can i book a class?

Classes are released on a 2 week rolling schedule.  Book your classes early, as they tend to fill up fast.  If a class is full, add yourself to the waitlist as they do move!

How does the waitlist work?

We know the feeling when the class you want to take is FULL. Don't get discouraged though, as the waitlists do tend to move!  Add yourself to the waitlist, and keep an eye on your email.  If you get into the class, you will be notified via email.  If a spot opens up within the 8 hour cancellation time period, we will email you AND call you to notifiy you that you have been added into the class!

What is the cancellation policy?

To receive a class credit for a cancelled reservation, you must cancel at least 8 hours prior to your scheduled class time.  Once you cancel a class, the class will be returned to your account  to be used on a future date.  Reservations cancelled within the cancellation period will be forfeited. Unlimited package holders will be charged a $13 fee for any late cancellation.  

Do you have childcare in the studio? 

YES!! Child care is available for all classes after 8am; every single day of the week!

Do you have showers? 

Yes we do!!  Please bring your own toiletries & towel!

What should I wear to class?

ALL CLASSES :  Women : You should wear leggings or capris that you are comfortable in and are not too loose on the bottom, as extra material could get in the way.  You will also want to wear a comfortable tank top or short sleeve shirt. Men : You should wear comfortable shorts  and a short sleeve shirt.  

SPIN : You will want to wear cycle shoes with SPD cleats or comfortable sneakers with hard soles. 

BARRE : You will want to wear sticky socks to retain your body’s heat as well as prevent your feet from sliding.  We have these socks available for sale at the studio if you need a pair!

ALL OTHER CLASSES : You will want to wear comfortable sneakers. 

Should I arrive a little early before my first class?

We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins. Once you arrive, we will help you get set up for your class!

Do you provide towels?

YES!  We provide small towels for your use during class.  If you would like to use the shower, please bring your own shower towel.
